Spread Eagle

너나 재림 하세요

You, Come Down Again, Your Own Self

Spread-eagle on the damp earth,,,
Everything disappears!
Except the sound of crickets
… and other crawling critters.

“You ‘come-down again’ your own self!
Re-incarnate, even!”
… was their mantra.

Softly, Steadily, Seductively,
“You come down again… again… again…
Re-incarnate, even… again
… and again…

Bodhisattva of Bodhisattvas, all…
Again, till all are Bodhisattvas,
You come down again, yourSelf.
Re-incarnate, even.

Still, as the other script-ed scripture has it, “Enough is already a feast”, or was it Aeschylus mountain an empty battle cry? Whatever, may it always be-come synonymous with 無.
